Chuck Norris is an idiot:
On Nov. 4, the pro-gay community obviously was flabbergasted that a state that generally leans left actually voted right when it came to holy matrimony.

On Nov. 4, the pro-gay community obviously was flabbergasted that a state that generally leans left actually voted right when it came to holy matrimony. But that’s exactly what happened; the majority of Californians — red, yellow, black and white — voted to define the margins of marriage as being between one man and one woman. California is the 30th state in our union to amend its constitution in doing so, joining Florida and Arizona in this election. Like it or not, it’s the law now. The people have spoken.

Ask yourself a simple question. Would a loving, forgiving, benevolent God encourage the use of a constitution — a document designed specifically to protect and guarantee the rights of the people — to deny rights to an entire group based solely on their choice of who to love?

It’s sad that this man has an entire meme built around how awesome he is when, in reality, he’s nothing more than a frightened, ignorant little man.

This flies in the face of conventional election day fare, which suggests that motivated voters encourage the unmotivated to do the same, but please, don’t go vote today.

I am speaking, of course, to the lazy or undecided voters who, upon being pressured by friends and family, would head out to the polls, select a presidential candidate based on the opinions of others, and randomly choose senators, representatives, and amendments. Just stay home. You’re not helping.

The right to vote is just that, a right. It is not a mandate, an obligation, or a duty. It is not compulsory. Our leaders should be elected by informed, intelligent Americans who, regardless of their political views, have at least formed them based on fact, study, instinct, and personal interest. Despite popular myth, high voter turnout does not beget stronger leadership, nor does it indicate an informed electorate. And we cannot afford to have our next president selected at random.

If you are still undecided or apathetic, I’m asking you, as a favor to America, to just stay home. Your ignorance might doom us all.

MTV Games and Apple Corps have announced an exclusive Beatles game from Harmonix, the Rock Band folks. This is not, however, a Rock Band-based game.

The game will be a journey that will take you through the entire Beatles catalog, from the first album to the last. There will be an interactive music performance involved using music controller peripherals, but they stress that the game is not a Rock Band title. Visual exploration of the Beatles will be a big part of the game, though they were not prepared to discuss more on that at this time.

Have you ever seen the show Ghost Hunters on the Sci Fi channel? It’s effectively a weekly argument against the existence of ghosts, but somehow the hosts keep pressing on, and viewers keep tuning in. Sci Fi is opening up the Ghost Network, a social network where fans of the show can swap ghost stories and “learn how to use the equipment seen on the show.”

Take Weekly Tutorials: Learn how to hunt ghosts with lessons about the usage of EMF gauges (electromagnetic field detectors), EVPs (electronic voice phenomena recorders) and other tracking gear.

None of this shit is real. Don’t waste your money. Buy food for your family instead.

View Ghost Stories: Read stories about ghostly encounters or share your own.

Spoiler alert: all of the ghost stories will be made up.

Ask a Hunter: Ask a member of The Atlantic Paranormal Society, or TAPS, a question and get answers about ghost hunting as well as advice, tips and recommendations direct from the experts.

Experts on what? Justifying a fake career by posing as an expert?

Vote! Haunted or Not?: Check out alleged photos of haunted places and vote on whether they’re haunted or not.

Not.

Get Resources: Peruse books, movies and more to help with your ghost-hunting career.

Oh hey, they sell stuff. Now it makes sense.

I would be fine with this if it were all in good fun, but Sci Fi is the channel that replaced Stargate SG-1 with professional wrestling; they can hardly be trusted in matters of ethics and good taste.

The father of the cellular phone, Martin Cooper, doesn’t care much for the iPhone:

In an interview with Forbes.com following his talk, Cooper said that he had used an iPhone for a few weeks before handing it off to his grandson, saying that he couldn’t navigate its contacts and that its shape and cell service made it a sub-standard phone. “A phone that’s an Internet appliance, an MP3 player, a camera and a whole bunch of other functions doesn’t make a lot of sense,” he said. “You try to build a universal device that does all things for all people, and guess what? It doesn’t do anything very well.”

He then offered the interviewer a butterscotch candy.
