iMore
As of today, I’m the music editor at iMore. Better yet, my inaugural post is a review of a fun and useful party playlist app called Party Monster.
What does it mean to be “music editor”? Mostly it means that I get to play with music software and hardware and write down my opinions about it. I’ll be covering general music stuff, but since I’m an active musician, I’ll get to try out Apple-centric audio products in my own work to give an honest, detailed perspective along with real audio samples from the perspective of “would I want my own audience to hear this?” It’s a lot of fun and comes with a lot of perks.
And I get to do it for a site I enjoy reading, run by people I respect. iMore’s senior editor, Rene Ritchie, is a friend and all-around stand up guy. That he’d let me anywhere near iMore is humbling.
I still make music and design software. But now I have a bridge between the two worlds.
