So They Cancelled Dollhouse
Not because Fox is stupid (they are) or because they have a history of tanking quality, fan-favorite shows (they do), but because Dollhouse deserved to be cancelled.
Joss Whedon’s work is entertaining because his characters have interesting relationships, and the dialogue is clever and fun. While Dollhouse had an interesting premise, it was a mistake for him to attempt a show where the characters barely speak and have no lasting relationships with one another.
As much as I wanted to like it, Dollhouse simply wasn’t a fun show to watch.
