As with most things, I blame Alex King. His post about re-tweeting wasn't the first such condemnation of the practice, but it did inspire similar feelings in those close to him, culminating in today's launch of Retweeters Anonymous by Gordon Brander.
From Alex's rant:
You can get your favorites (or someone elses) in a JSON ...

That's the plan, anyway. Perhaps things have changed since I supported their network, but this seems extremely ambitious.

Excellent article from Marcus Zarra at Cocoa is My Girlfriend:
No one is going to pay you for adding code to your software that is targeted at pirates. However you have a good chance of losing money if your customers get caught in your anti-piracy code and can’t use their software ...

St. Peter pointed me to an interesting discussion on the Adium-dev mailing list. Their approach is nearly identical to what Beejive is doing (read: the right thing), but if anyone can give Beejive a run for their money, it could well be the Adium team. We've already seen libpurple ported ...

In the fury of getting coathangr ready for the pre-alpha beta, I somehow completely forgot to mention that Jay and I were presenting at Refresh Denver last night. It's really too bad, because our slides were awesome. There was a puppet show.
Also presenting was Alex "The Kodiak Killer" King of Crowd ...

If Twitter is "what are you doing?", then coathangr is "what are you wearing?" This service brought to you by myself and Jay Graves. Still a work in progress, we've launched as an early pre-alpha beta (pralpheta). Registration is open for now, but will be moving to an invite system ...

Ironic Sans has a neat little puzzle. I recognized the meaning after a few seconds, but there are hints in the comments if you need them. I want more puzzles like this.

I don't know why this is coming as such a surprise to everyone. It was only a matter of time before Apple allowed other browsers on the iPhone. And it's only a matter of time before they open it further.
(By the way, what the hell is with the picture in the ...

According to Wikipedia, tomorrow marks 19 years of MC Hammer's U Can't Touch This. Curious, I asked the man himself:
@MCHammer: Tomorrow will be 19 years. Can we touch this yet?
Amazingly, he responded:
@dwiskus Not Yet !!!
There you have it. Please continue to refrain from touching this until further notice.

Cisco WebEx Meeting Center for the iPhone has already taken home an award. It would be disingenuous of me to write a full review of the app, but at the price of free, it's worth taking a look at if you already use WebEx.

Steve O'Grady asks a great question:
What about Android will make Java desktops succeed where they’ve failed so often before?
Simple answer, Steve: nothing. Mobile handset applications are at their best when they're small, simple, and complement their desktop counterparts. But you already know this:
[W]ho’s going to be building for Android on ...

Tired of realizing halfway through a WebEx meeting that the customer could see me the whole time, I ordered an iPatch to cover up (or not) my MacBook Pro's built-in iSight. It arrived today, and while it looks small and potentially flimsy, it works remarkably well. The magnetic cover slides ...
