Apple’s New Stuff
If you were hoping for updated notebooks, you’re going to be disappointed. If, however, you found the iPod nano to be great, but wished it were longer, very slightly improved, and available in a multitude of colors, boy do I have some good news for you!
The new iPod nano was announced today. It’s available in nine(!) different colors and has a built-in accelerometer. Why? Because now you can turn it to go into widescreen mode. Why? Because they put the screen on its side to narrow the width of the device. Why? Look, I have no idea.
Also refreshed today was the iPod Touch. The new Touch boasts a built-in speaker and a thinner body. However, the 16GB model is inexplicably priced at $299, the same as the 16GB iPhone.
You may also be interested to know that iTunes 8 is available for download today, and a new iPhone firmware update will be available on Friday.
