A Solution to iPhone 3G Accessory Charging Problems

If you have an iPhone 3G and, say, car stereo integration, you may have noticed that your phone no longer charges while connected.  How nice of Apple to move pins around.  Ridax may have the solution to your woes.

Many devices made for earlier iPods or iPhones can no longer provide correct charging power to the iPhone 3g and you get a message about charger not supported. This adapter converts the charging power to suit the iPhone 3g.

The converter is overpriced at $39.90, ships sometime before October, and they don’t guarantee that it won’t make your phone explode.  And their site looks like crap.  It’s good to know that someone is working to solve this problem, though.
