No Dock For You
iLounge points out that the iPhone 3G does not come boxed with a dock1, whereas the original iPhone included one. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened. Older iPods used to come with the in-line remote (amongst other things), and the Macbook Pro prior to the current generation shipped with an Apple Remote.
For a company whose software design philosophy is to add features incrementally because deprecation causes so much dissatisfaction from the users, they sure don’t mind sneaking hardware away from us.
